Hey there, I’m Hanna!
Your local home organizer in Columbus, Ohio.
I get really excited about my job.
When I became a mom for the first time two years ago, my life drastically changed. My husband and I signed the closing papers for our new Worthington home while I was in active labor. Yeah, super fun times. Nine weeks later I started a new job for my 7th year teaching in Dublin City Schools. New city. New house. New baby. New job. If you look up the definition of overwhelmed in the dictionary I’m pretty sure the only entry you’ll see is a concerning photo of my face from that period of time. Did I have any clue I would become a home organizer in Columbus, Ohio? Absolutely not!
Barely making it out of that school year alive, once the summer arrived I finally found some time to just exist in my home. Since we were never able to properly unpack from our move (#babyprobs) my home was stressing me out. It was cluttered, the closets had no rhyme or reason to them, and we didn’t have any systems set up to help us (no entryway zone, no where to put coats, don’t even mention the baby toys thanks). I decided to put my head down and spend the coming months tackling the functionality and organization of our home from the ground up.
Doing so proved to be a much bigger challenge than I anticipated. Our home has limited storage, and what it does have is not ideal. There’s no entryway closet (or real entry at all), no actual basement, no built ins ðŸ˜, and really limited garage storage. I know, right!? I’ve had to get super creative with finding spatial solutions to our organizational needs. To me it’s one big puzzle to solve, and I’ve ended up loving every second of putting my home back together in a way that really works and flows for our family. Oh, and my husband has ADHD, so if he loves how our home is organized and can maintain it, that’s saying something!
When I realized I could make decluttering and organizing exceed even my own expectations, I knew I was onto something. Just like when I taught middle schoolers, I’ve always wanted to make a difference in other people’s lives and help them feel seen. I wondered if my love for organizing and transforming lives through the process could be my next step in meeting those goals. When my second daughter was a month old I accepted my first organizing job, decluttering a playroom before a move, and haven’t looked back for a second.
I now meet clients all over Columbus exactly where they’re at in life, judgement free, and help them realize their organizing dreams. I’ve been there myself, so I really understand how impactful this work is for others. For me, finding my passion for transforming lives through organizing is a real dream come true.

A few more things about me…
My two young daughters- May and Gwen- are the absolute light of my life. I love being a mom.
I was born and raised in Bexley, Ohio #montrosemoose4ever and moved to Mt. Vernon, OH after college (jobs) before returning to Columbus.
Podcasts are my “doing the dishes” listen of choice. I’m a fan of Second Life and Ladygang!
I love reading, though reading time is limited these days. I adore Ken Follet’s Pillars of the Earth and Any Human Heart by William Boyd.
My favorite activity is to go skiing. I dream of traveling West to ski!
I danced and played field hockey throughout school.
If I’m going to watch TV it’s either reality (RHSLC) or football (Bengals).
Speaking of sports, my dream is to organize professional athletes’ homes (*cough* Joe Burrow *cough*)
Why sustainable, eco-friendly organizing?
Sustainability is a value I hold highly, especially now that I have children and want to pass down a better world for them. Living as a resourceful eco-conscious consumer is also just who I am. I live pretty minimally, prefer to purchase pre-loved goods whenever it makes most sense to, and I pay a lot of attention to materials.
Teaching science to middle schoolers for the majority of my teaching career taught me so much about our environment and what we can do to protect it. As a home organizer in Columbus, Ohio I feel better knowing that I’m helping to take better care of our city by keeping as much out of the landfill as possible, choosing eco-friendly or pre-owned products (or just using what you have!), and creating organizing systems designed to truly last.
